The dissonance of minor difference—sonorous and material—and offset adjacency: a pair of works situate the bass clarinet in fields of its prerecorded self, and feedback respectively. Between this pair: the vibrant interference patterns obtained at the irreducible sonorous contact of a bowed crotale’s sustain with single sinusoidal tones.
